Metros de Santiago (LNB) signed 30-year old American guard Ramon Galloway (190cm-82kg-91, college: La Salle). Galloway played last summer at Bameso in the TBS. He managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year. In 7 TBS games he had very impressive stats: 21.9ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.3apg and 1.4spg. He helped them to win the Santiago League title despite they ended the regular season at the second place. 2021-21 was a great season as he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Rep. Santiago League Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Finals MVP. The last season he played at Pueblo Nuevo (Santiago League) where in 15 games he recorded also remarkable stats: 29.3ppg, 4.1rpg, 5.7apg and 1.5spg. 2020-21 was a great season as he was selected Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Rep. Santiago League Player of the Year, Import Player of the Year and Finals MVP.
Galloway has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2016.
He is quite experienced player. He has played in twelve different countries on five different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and of course North America). Galloway has played previously professionally in Bosnia, Germany (Skyliners), Italy (Varese and Omegna), Lebanon (Al Riyadi and Anibal), Mexico (Dorados and Mantarrayas), Qatar (Al Sadd), Turkey (TED Ankara), NBA (Orlando Magic), Venezuela (Cocodrilos), Egypt (Al Ettehad), Dominican Republic (Enriquillo and Leones de Santo Domingo) and NBA G League (College Park S.). he was voted Latinbasket.com All-Dominican Republic Santiago League Player of the Year in 2021.
He attended La Salle University until 2013 and it will be his tenth season as a professional player.
He could be described: Ramon gives us talent, athleticism and emotional effort that elevates our team. Galloway is outstanding as a defender and scorer. His area of improvement should come in decision-making and a better assist to turnover ratio.
